Section 1. Scope

Courser and our affiliates and subsidiaries (“Courser”, “we”, or “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy. Welcome to Courser’s website (“Website”). This notice explains how we collect and use your information online. It also tells you about the choices you have.

This notice covers all information we collect from you when you visit our Website. You can find this notice on our homepage and anywhere we ask for your personal information. This Privacy Policy tells you how Courser collects, uses, protects, and shares your information. It applies when you use our Website in any way. It does not cover our activities outside this Website (unless we tell you otherwise). It also does not cover information collected by third parties through any apps or content that may link to our Website.

Please read this policy carefully. It explains how we handle your information. By using our Website, you accept these practices. If you don’t agree, please stop using the Website. We may change this policy from time to time. If you keep using the Website after changes, you accept those changes. Please check back for updates. Note that some privacy rights under state law (like the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information) are available to you whether or not you agree to this policy.

Section 2. Personal Information We Collect

You give us most of the information we collect. Courser and its agents, vendors, consultants, and other helpers (together called “Service Providers”) may collect information you provide directly through our Website.

For example, we collect information when you use the Website, take part in marketing activities, or interact with us through the Website. When you use third-party services (like websites or apps run by our Service Providers) ("Third-Party Services"), you may also give information to those providers.

Within the last twelve (12) months we have collected personal information ("Personal Information”) from visitors to our Website. This is information that identifies you or could be linked to you or your household, such as:

  • First and last name;
  • Address;
  • Company
  • Phone number;
  • Email address;

We collect this information in these ways:

  • Directly from you when you give it to us.
  • Automatically when you browse the Website. This may include how you use the site, your IP address, and information from cookies and other tracking tools.
  • From third parties, like our business partners.

Information You Provide to Us

We collect information from you in several ways, including:

  • Information you enter in forms on our Website, such as when you contact us or report a problem.
  • Your searches on the Website.
  • Pages or links you click on our Website.

Information Collected Automatically

We may also automatically collect certain information when you use the Website ("Usage Information”). This includes your IP address, device type, browser type, operating system, how you use the Website, and data about your device. Under state privacy laws, some of this Usage Information (including IP addresses and device identifiers) may count as Personal Information. If it does, we will treat it as Personal Information under this policy.

We may automatically collect Usage Information using these methods:

  • Log Information: Log data includes your IP address, browser type, internet provider, pages you visit, operating system, dates and times, and other related data.
  • Cookies and Other Tracking Tools: Cookies, web beacons (also called "tracking pixels"), embedded scripts, unique identifiers, location tools, and other tracking technologies (together called "Tracking Technologies") may be used to collect information about how you use the Website or interact with our emails.

The information we collect automatically helps us improve our Website and your experience. It allows us to:

  • Estimate how many people visit our Website and how they use it.
  • Remember your preferences so we can customize your experience.
  • Make your searches faster.
  • Recognize you when you come back.

Information Collected Through Third Parties.

We may buy or sell businesses. When this happens, customer information is often part of the deal. We may also get information from third parties during these transactions. Our Service Providers and Third-Party Services may collect Personal Information (like your name, email, phone number, address, social media account, and image) for their own purposes and on our behalf. If you have questions about what information these providers collect, please contact them directly.

Demographic Information (like age, gender, interests, education, and job info) is generally not Personal Information unless the law says otherwise. Personal Information that has been "De-identified" (meaning we removed the parts that identify you) is also not Personal Information. We may use de-identified data without restriction, except as the law prohibits. We don’t try to re-identify de-identified data. We have safeguards in place to keep it de-identified. Anyone we share de-identified data with must follow these same rules.

Sensitive Personal Information

Some types of personal information are “sensitive” under state privacy laws. This includes Social Security numbers, financial account info, precise geolocation data, race or ethnicity, religious beliefs, health information, sexual orientation, and biometric data. We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through this Website. If we ever do, we will tell you and get your consent when required by law. We will only use it as allowed by law.

Section 3. How We Collect Information

We use these technologies to automatically collect data:

  • Cookies.

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer. They collect standard internet log information and visitor behavior. When you visit our Website, we may collect information through cookies or similar tools.

Courser uses cookies to make sure the Website works correctly, improve your experience, and understand how you use the site. You can set your browser to refuse cookies. However, if you do this, some parts of the Website may not work properly. Unless you change your browser settings, our system will use cookies when you visit. There are different types of cookies. Our Website uses:

  • Functional Cookies. These are needed for the Website to work. They do not collect marketing information. They cannot be turned off because the Website needs them to run.
  • Analytics and Customization Cookies. We use Service Providers and Third-Party cookies to see how visitors use our Website. These cookies give us overall data about Website use.
  • Other Tracking Technologies.

Besides cookies, we may use these tracking tools:

  • Web Beacons ("Tracking Pixels"). Tracking Pixels are small electronic images on the Website. They collect limited information like a cookie number, time and date of a page view, and which page you’re on. Third-party advertisers may also place Web Beacons. These do not collect Personal Information—they only track Website use.
    • Social Media Tracking Pixels. We use tracking tools from social media platforms to track what you do on our website. These tools send data back to the social media company’s servers. They collect personal information for Courser, such as:
      • Pages you visit
      • Things you do on the site (like filling out forms or clicking buttons)
      • Your device and browser type
      • Your IP address and general location
      • How you found the site
      • Your social media user ID (if you are logged into that platform)
    • The main purpose of these tools is to help show you targeted ads. They let businesses show ads to people who visited their website, find similar audiences, and see how well their ads are working.
    • Website Analytics Tools. We use analytics tools to track website traffic and how people use our site. These tools collect personal information for Courser by placing cookies and tracking code on the website. They collect data such as:
      • How you find and move around the site
      • How long you spend on pages
      • What device and browser you use
      • Your general location (from your IP address)
      • What you click on, scroll through, and submit
    • Professional Network Tracking Pixels. We use tracking tools from professional networking platforms to track what you do on our website and help with advertising on those platforms. They collect:
      • Pages you visit
      • Your IP address (used to identify your company)
      • Your device and browser info
      • When you visited
      • How you found the site
      • Your job title, industry, company, and seniority (if you are logged into the platform)
    • These tools’ main purposes are:
      • Tracking conversions — seeing which ads lead to actions on the website
      • Retargeting — showing ads to people who visited the site before
      • Website demographics — showing overall data about who visits the site (like job titles and industries)
  • Unique Identifiers. We may assign you a unique ID to track your visits. We use this to gather overall visitor data and personalize your experience and some of our emails to you.
  • Embedded Scripts. These are bits of code that collect information about how you use the Website. They download temporarily to your computer and are active only while you’re connected to the Website.
  • Location Tools. GPS and other location technologies may find your location or make guesses about where you are. We may use this to verify your location or show you content based on where you are. If you turn on GPS or location features, we may track your device location.

Section 4. How We Use Personal Information

We may use your information, including Personal Information, for purposes that are consistent with this Privacy Policy or that we explain when we collect it. Within the last twelve (12) months we have used your Personal Information for purposes allowed by law, including but not limited to:

  • To show you our Website and its contents, including personalizing and customizing your experience based on your preferences and browsing history.
  • To give you information, products, or services you ask for, including processing your requests, responding to your inquiries, and delivering content tailored to your interests.
  • To do what you asked us to do when you gave us the information, including completing transactions you initiated and providing customer support.
  • To market to you, find new business opportunities, improve the Website, and conduct research and analytics to better understand how visitors use our Website and services.
  • To fulfill our obligations and enforce our rights from any contracts with you, including for billing, payment processing, and collection of amounts owed.
  • To tell you about changes to our Website, the products or services we offer, updates to our terms and policies, and other important information about your relationship with us.
  • To let you use interactive features on our Website, such as forms, surveys, forums, and other engagement tools.
  • To protect the security and integrity of our Website, systems, and data, including detecting, investigating, and preventing fraud, unauthorized access, and other illegal activities.
  • To comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests from public authorities, and protect our legal rights, privacy, safety, or property, or that of our users or others.
  • For other purposes we describe when you give us the information, so you are aware of how your information will be used at the time of collection.
  • For any other purpose with your consent, which we will obtain before using your information for purposes not described in this Privacy Policy.

Section 5. Data Retention

We use the following business and legal criteria in determining whether it may reasonably retain Personal Information and related records collected online (e.g., websites and mobile devices, online platforms, and user interactions with our advertisements): (i) applicable laws (including those mandating retention data and records for certain periods of time); (ii) the existence of an applicable legal hold or other substantial need to protect and defend our rights, you, or any third party; (iii) our ongoing assessment of the currency of the data, the need to retain it in order to fulfill a contract or other agreement, or to meet our specific business requirements (including maintenance and improvement of any online Services); and (iv) our balancing of reasonable risk considerations related to the ongoing retention and use of specific categories of data.

Section 6. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may share combined information about our users, and information that does not identify anyone, without restriction.

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) and other state privacy laws, sharing personal information with third parties for targeted advertising may be considered a “sale” or “share” of personal information. We may sell or share your personal information in this way with our advertising partners to show you targeted ads on social media platforms and professional networks. You have the right to opt out of this sale or sharing. To opt out use the opt-out tools described in Section 7 of this policy.

We do not use or share sensitive personal information for purposes other than those allowed under the CCPA.

Within the last twelve (12) months we shared the Personal Information collected from you, or that you provided, as follows:

  • Subsidiaries and Affiliates. To our subsidiaries and affiliates for internal business operations, coordinating services, and ensuring consistent service delivery across our corporate family.
  • Service Providers. To contractors, Service Providers, and other third parties who help run our business and provide the Services that we offer for purposes such as website hosting, data analytics, payment processing, customer service support, and marketing assistance. They must keep your Personal Information confidential and secure, and only use it for the purposes we allow.
  • Merger or Sale. To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Courser’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which Personal Information held by Courser about our Website users is among the assets Courser transfers.
  • To do what you asked when you gave us the information, such as responding to your inquiries, providing requested services, or completing transactions you initiated.
  • For any other reason we tell you about when you give us the information, ensuring you are informed of specific purposes at the time of collection.
  • With your consent, for purposes you specifically authorize at the time you provide such consent.

We may also share your Personal Information:

  • To follow the law, court orders, or government requests.
  • To enforce our terms of use or other agreements, including for billing.
  • If we believe it’s necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Courser, our customers, or others. This includes sharing information for fraud protection.

Financial Incentives.

We do not currently offer financial rewards, price differences, or loyalty programs that are tied to your personal information. If we offer such programs in the future, we will tell you and get your consent first.

Section 7. Choices About Your Personal Information

We try to give you choices about your Personal Information. Here are ways you can control your information:

Cookies and Tracking Tools. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies or other tracking technology files, or to alert you when these files are being sent. You can choose whether or not to allow the Services to collect information through other tracking technologies by clicking the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of this Website and updating your consent settings. If you disable or refuse cookies or similar tracking files, some Services features may be inaccessible or not function properly.

Marketing Emails. You can opt out of marketing emails from Courser at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails. Your opt-out only applies to the email address you used. Even if you opt out of marketing emails, we may still send you non-marketing emails about your account or our business relationship.

Disclosure of Your Information for Third-Party Advertising. If you do not want us to share your personal information with unaffiliated or non-agent third parties for promotional purposes or to deliver advertisements according to our advertiser’ target audience preferences, you can opt-out by sending us an email with your request to marketing@gocourser.com.

Targeted Advertising. If you do not want us to use information that we collect or that you provide to us to deliver advertisements according to our advertisers' target audience preferences, you can opt out by clicking the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of this Website and withdrawing your consent to advertising cookies. You may also click on the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link at the bottom of this page.

Universal Opt-Out Tools. We honor browser-based opt-out signals recognized by state law, including the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”). If we detect a GPC signal from your browser, we will treat it as a valid opt-out request for the sale and sharing of personal information. You don’t need to do anything else if your browser sends a GPC signal. Learn more at https://globalprivacycontrol.org/.

Do Not Track Signals. Some browsers have a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) feature. We honor GPC signals as described above. If DNT signals are recognized as valid opt-out signals under state law, we will honor those too.

  • Correct inaccuracies in your personal information, taking into account the nature and purposes of the processing.
  • Obtain a copy of your personal information in a portable, readily usable format that allows you to send the data to another party.

If we deny your appeal, we will tell you how to contact your state attorney general to file a complaint.

Nevada residents have a limited right to opt out of certain personal information sales. To exercise this right, email marketing@gocourser.com. However, we do not currently sell data that triggers this requirement.

Section 9. Children’s Privacy

Our Website is for adults and is not meant for children under 16 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in a way that violates the U.S. Children’s Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”). If you are under 16, do not use this Website or give us any information, including your name, address, phone number, or email. If we learn that we collected a child’s information in a way not allowed by COPPA, or collected information from someone under 16 without proper permission, we will delete it. We have safeguards to protect your Personal Information from accidental loss and unauthorized access, use, changes, and sharing. These include encryption, regular software updates, audits, and security tools. We store your information on secure servers in a controlled environment.

Unfortunately, sending information over the internet is not completely secure. We do our best to protect your Personal Information, but we cannot guarantee its security during transmission. Any transmission is at your own risk. You acknowledge that there are security and privacy limits on the internet beyond our control, and information may be viewed or changed by third parties despite our best efforts.
